Villanova University has announced the election of two New Canaan residents to its board of trustees.

Richard Brennan is chairman, chief executive officer and founding partner of Camulos Capital LP. Until 2005, Camulos Capital was part of Soros Fund Management, where Brennan served as managing director of the special situations group. Before that, Brennan was managing director responsible for Merrill Lynch’s European credit business.

Brennan is a member of Villanova’s Parents’ Committee and the President’s Council: Transforming Minds and Hearts. He is the father of Villanova senior Courtney Brennan.

Thomas Mulroy is a 1985 Villanova School of Business graduate. He serves as chief executive officer of T-Rex Capital LLC, a real estate investment firm that he co-founded in 1999. He previously was senior vice president of investments at Starwood Financial Inc. He also was senior vice president at Lazard Freres & Co.

Mulroy is a member of the Villanova University Major Gifts Committee, the Villanova Real Estate Advisory Council, theVillanova’s President’s Council: Transforming Minds and Hearts and is a President’s Club adviser.

Villanova University is a co-educational Roman Catholic institution founded by the Order of Saint Augustine in 1842.
