Boca Raton, FL, May 24, 2001 – OmniCluster Technologies, a developer and provider of PCI card-based servers, has signed an 8,000 square foot lease at the Camino Real Centre at 1100 West Camino. The move, which will serve as OmniCluster’s new corporate headquarters, marks the first company in the Cenetec technology accelerator program to open its own headquarters.

The company is relocating from current headquarters within Cenetec’s technology accelerator at the T-Rex Technology Center. Julien J. Studley Inc. represented the company in its move to Camino Real Centre. OmniCluster Technologies was launched in May 2000, and has since grown from a staff of six to 20 employees.

The fast-growing company recently introduced SlotServer 1000, a full-function server on a PCI card. The patent-pending technology enables service providers such as webhosting providers and ASPs to expand cost-effectively by augmenting, rather than adding conventional rack-mount servers for applications such as web serving, load balancing, firewalls and distributed processing.

According to Alisa Waerlop, associate director in the Florida office of Julien J. Studley Inc., the move represents a high-tech company doing well, despite national economic conditions. Waerlop is part of a national accounts team within Studley, a Cenetec strategic partner, that provides tenant advisory services to portfolio companies within the Cenetec accelerator. As a company is accelerated, Studley has implemented best practices and provided strategic planning to ensure a smooth transition to new office space.

“OmniCluster’s move to Camino Real Centre is a strong indication that positive change is occurring in the technology sector and the market is slowly beginning to turn,” said Waerlop. “This move demonstrates that South Florida continues to provide an excellent opportunity for high-tech companies to emerge and grow.”

“Cenetec has been a great partner and catalyst for success. We’re now poised for dramatic growth with strong market response to our breakthrough product,” said Christopher Fleck, CEO and co-founder of OmniCluster. “We’ve chosen to continue growing the company in Boca Raton, along the InternetCoast, because it is a fertile environment where tech companies can thrive.” OmniCluster Technologies is privately owned with shareholders including IBM, HIG Ventures, CrossBow Ventures and Cenetec.

William D. Hager, CEO of Cenetec, said, “OmniCluster moved to market during a very tough period for technology ventures. Its success demonstrates that there is always opportunity for the best ideas, and for entrepreneurs who take the right steps to build a solid business plan.” Hager noted that OmniCluster is one of nine Cenetec technology accelerator companies at various stages of acceleration.
